Some days are great! You wake up feeling strong. You feel confident. You feel comfortable in your own skin.
Can we talk about those other days?
Days when you wake up and the instant overwhelming feeling of dread fogs your self-esteem, self-worth and the sparkle you saw in the mirror within recent days.
Mirrors are meant for reflections- not to be a judgemental opinion. Right?
Well, let's be real with ourselves. Nowadays the social judgment is so unfounded, undeserving, and worst of all damaging! Attacking the newly surfacing branches of who you're trying to still become no matter our age, our beliefs or our origins.
When wearing our hearts on our sleeves is most needed to change our own judgemental monsters, that try to consume every bright part within.
Those nights when you will never replay the day enough times to understand why, if I had only, but if I were different as you shrink into what feels like an abyss.
No direction North, South East or West - Up isnt there and down, well feels like we have gone down as low as the physical being could go.
Our patience is gone before the sun has crept up the treetops.
An unforgiving week turns into a month then a season, following through the passing of a fast paced year then fast forwarding into a New Years expectation of having it so together and life figured out - " This year I'm going to"....
Well let's just fill in those blanks with the stereotype resolutions that go strong the first few weeks and then fade away as bills become all life consuming adding exhaustion as a very likely long lasting side effect.
When smiling is an uncomfortable feeling knowing we are lost and have absolutely no clue how to begin fixing what isn't right, while healing from the damage caused everyday.
Can I just say, I'm with each and every individual that is going through their own version of a never-ending falling apart trial.
Now, let's give ourselves some space from socializing judgments.
Take a moment, it's OK. You're not being a horrible person - In fact you're not becoming a Monster.
You're tired, then rest. You're body knows you better than you think.
You can be vulnerable with yourself and it's OK. We are not strong because we never show weakness.
Feeling weak and still taking everything head on is what makes you strong.
Taking the time to show your reflection kindness will lift the fog and allow that sparkle to compliment that self-esteem & self-worth mirroring.
Affirmation: If I'm kind to myself on heavy days, my light will shine through to guide me throughout my day.
